Intensive Moscow's Strikes Eliminate Power Across Kyiv

Energy infrastructure targeted in the region
Ukraine's energy systems have faced increased attacks in recent weeks

During the night, Russian aerial assaults have led to power cuts in multiple districts of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

A number of civilians were injured while inhabitants in eastern districts were experienced blackouts and faced interruptions to water supplies, as stated by municipal leaders.

At the same time, a young boy was fatally injured in a separate Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southern area, according to regional authorities.

Moscow has escalated assaults on electrical systems over the last fortnight, while Ukrainian leadership has requested "real steps" from international partners to apply pressure on Russia.

"The necessity is not superficial actions but firm measures - from the America, Europe and the Group of Seven - in providing defensive weapons and enforcing penalties," he wrote in a public message.

Officials stated that numerous aerial vehicles and more than 30 rockets attacked the country's power systems, labeling such attacks as "cynical and calculated" and against "essential services" as winter approaches.

The energy minister said Russia was "inflicting a massive strike" and repair crews were working to fix the damage.

A series of attacks damaged energy infrastructure and civilian homes in the capital.

Five out of the nine people hurt in the attacks on the city have been taken to hospital, as confirmed by municipal representatives.

Local officials said the city endured intense attacks throughout the evening. A young boy lost their life and three other people were wounded.

The assaults succeed nights of aerial attacks in the area, portions of which are occupied by Moscow's military.

All of Ukraine is on alert for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are more difficult to spot.

National leaders told journalists that Russia was purposely seeking to demolish the country's energy grid, with assaults already impacting energy systems.

Officials stated utility staff and officials were preparing for further attacks.
